Zaporizhzhia Regional Council supported the draft law №1135-1 “On civilian weapons and ammunition”

On March 31, deputies of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Council voted for the initiative to appeal to the President of Ukraine and the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to support the draft law No. 1135-1 “On civilian weapons and ammunition“.
“At a time when the country is flooded with illegal weapons, hundreds of crimes are committed with their use, law-abiding citizens remain virtually unprotected,” – said the initiator of the appeal MP Yuriy Ruzhyn.
According to the deputy, this bill is able to equalize the chances of ordinary people with those who believe that owning a gun, they gain power over everyone else. Weapons should not become a means of demonstration of force or proof of rightness, but a means of protection and self-defense.
It should be reminded that such an appeal to the Head of State has already been signed: Kyiv City Council, Cherkasy City Council, Cherkasy Regional Council, Lutsk City Council and Lviv City Council.
