Verkhovna Rada Committee on Law Enforcement – short-barreled rifled firearms will be!

On December 18, during the meeting of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Law Enforcement, the draft laws “On Weapons”(№1222 and №1222-1) were discussed.

After the reports of the co-authors of both draft laws, MPs Igor Fris and Oleksandr Bakumov, the head of the working group, MP Oleksandr Danutsa, proposed to the committee to send both draft laws for revision to the Committee on Law Enforcement, which should result in a common comprehensive draft law that will regulate this sphere of relations, prepared by the authors of both draft laws.

In his speech, Oleksandr Danutsa made a special emphasis on the fact that among the key requirements to the new draft law should be regulated the right of citizens to own short-barreled rifled firearms.

The members of the Committee supported this proposal by unanimous decision.
