Poltava City Council at the meeting on September 15, 2017 adopted a decision on the appeal of the deputies of the City Council to the President of Ukraine and the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on the importance of adopting the Law of Ukraine “On Civilian Weapons and Ammunition”.
The relevant decision was made on the initiative of representatives of the “Svoboda” and the National Corps. During the meeting it was noted about the legislative vacuum in the issue of regulation of arms circulation and stressed the importance of adopting an appropriate decision, as on August 10 on the beach of Dublianytsia district in Poltava there was a shooting, which killed a man and injured several people and a child.
Also, we publish the texts of similar appeals of Ternopil city and regional councils, which were sent as a result of the conference “Arms – your right. Protection is your duty”, which took place on January 26 in Kyiv.
Previously, such appeals have already been sent to the state leadership: Kyiv Regional Council, Zaporizhzhya Regional Council, Kyiv City Council, Cherkasy City Council, Cherkasy Regional Council, Lutsk City Council, Lviv City Council, Varash City Council, Volyn Regional Council, Rivne Regional Council, Vinnytsia Regional Council, Velyky Berezny District Council.
