Dear Petro Oleksiyovych.

Recently, the issue of granting the legislative status of arms circulation in Ukraine has become more relevant than ever. The society no longer has any doubts that it is necessary to return to Ukrainians the right to protect their own lives, the lives of others and to defend the country with weapons.

The right to protection of life is the first of the inalienable human rights. Without observance of this right, all other rights are worthless.

That is why Article 27 of the Constitution of Ukraine states: “Everyone has the inalienable right to life. No one shall be arbitrarily deprived of life. The duty of the state is to protect human life. Everyone has the right to protect his life and health, life and health of other people from unlawful encroachments”.

However, some media artificially spread information that Ukrainian society is not ready for such an important step or has the wrong mentality.

That is why, on behalf of the Ukrainian Gun Owners Association, we invite you to visit the largest shooting event in Ukraine – GUN OPEN DAY, which is held by our Association for the seventh time.

During the event, you will be able to communicate with a large community of legal gun owners and their families, instructors, teachers and personally see the level of readiness of society for responsible gun ownership.

We hope that your visit and free communication with the arms community will assure you of the need to adopt the Draft Law on Civilian Weapons and Ammunition (№1135-1) as soon as possible.

The event will be held on June 20, 2015 at the address: Kyiv region, Kyiv. Brovary, ul. 29, Chkalova Street (Sapsan).

It starts at 11:00.

Regards,
Chairman of the supervisory board
“Ukrainian Gun Owners Association”
Georgy Uchaykin
