So, GUN OPEN DAY 4′ October 2011 took place as planned on October 15.
The conditions were as close to combat as possible – it had been raining since the morning, and the air temperature did not exceed +3 degrees. However, this did not affect the event and the mood of the participants. From 11 am the members of the Association and guests occupied the SSC “Sapsan”.
The participants of the event were welcomed by the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Association Georgiy Uchaykin. “We pay special attention to this event, because at the GUN OPEN DAY the members of the Association improve their skills in the possession of weapons, so to speak, maintain their “shooting form”.
Nowadays, such knowledge and skills are extremely necessary. The open format of the event allows everyone interested to attend it, even if they are not members of the Association and do not have weapons. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the activities of the Association, to communicate with experts and like-minded people, and finally to plunge into a wonderful friendly atmosphere”.
After a short welcoming part, 4 groups of shooters were distributed to the shooting grounds to find out who would be the best this time. He had to shoot with a pistol, a hunting rifle and a Kalashnikov. A thorough briefing was conducted at each shooting range …. and the competition began.
It should be noted that the girls, whose number in the Association is increasing, competed on equal terms and demonstrated a real fighting character.
After a fierce struggle, the results were counted.
Thus, the third place was taken by Yuriy Glukhov (163 points).
The second place went to Serhiy Shcherbyna (168 points).
And the winner was Yuriy Chaichenko (193 points).
