Over the past two years, the Ukrainian Association of Gun Owners, together with representatives of the gunsmithing community of Ukraine, has developed a public draft law “On Civilian Weapons and Ammunition”, which has already been registered in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine under the number 1135-1.
Currently, in preparation for the hearing in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, a public discussion of this draft law is being held.
Taking into account that the draft law provides for the creation of the Unified State Register of Weapons of Ukraine (USRWU), the holder of which is determined by the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, as well as the transfer of part of the powers in the sphere of circulation of civilian weapons and ammunition from the Ministry of Internal Affairs to the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine (in particular, licensing of economic activities in this area), I ask you to consider the issue of possible cooperation between the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Association of Gun Owners in order to jointly finalize the draft law.
