Extract from the charter of the NGO “UKRAINIAN ASSOCIATION OF WEAPONS OWNERS”

1. GENERAL PROVISIONS

1.1. The All-Ukrainian public organization “UKRAINIAN ASSOCIATION OF WEAPONS OWNERS” (hereinafter referred to as the “Association”) is a non-profit public organization with all-Ukrainian status, which, on the terms of voluntariness, self-government, transparency, legality, individual and collective membership, unites citizens, owners of weapons, collectives of legal entities in order to combine efforts aimed at satisfying and protecting their legitimate social, economic, creative, age, national-cultural, sports and other common interests.

1.2. The Association in its activities is guided by the Constitution of Ukraine, the Laws of Ukraine “On Associations of Citizens”, “On Corporate Profit Tax” and other legislative acts of Ukraine and this Statute.

1.3. The activities of the Association extend to the whole territory of Ukraine.

1.6. Interference of state bodies and officials in the activities of the Association is not allowed.

1.13. Full name of the Association:
1.13.1. In Ukrainian language: All-Ukrainian public organization “UKRAINIAN ASSOCIATION OF WEAPONS OWNERS”

1.14. The abbreviated name of the Association:
1.14.1. In Ukrainian language: ALL-UKRAINIAN NGO “UAVZ”.

2. PURPOSE, OBJECTIVES OF THE ASSOCIATION AND ITS RIGHTS

2.1. The main purpose of the Association is to protect the legitimate interests of its members.

2.2. The main tasks of the Association, within the current legislation of Ukraine, are:
– promoting a positive social image of law-abiding gun owners;
– promoting the implementation and protection of citizens’ rights to hunt, training and sports competitions,
possession and carrying of weapons for self-defense and protection of property;
– promoting the development and popularization of bullet, bench shooting, archery and crossbow as forms of active and safe leisure of law-abiding citizens;
– promoting the development of conditions that improve the shooting skills of citizens;
– promotion of self-defense skills training;
– promoting the protection of the rights of hunters, sportsmen and citizens-collectors of various types of weapons;
– promoting the improvement of the legal framework regulating the circulation of weapons in Ukraine in order to implement and expand these rights;
– participation in the promotion of the culture of ownership of weapons, dissemination of legal knowledge, participation in training in the safe storage and use of weapons;
– cooperation with state authorities and local governments in the framework of the Association’s activities;
– promotion of international cooperation in the main areas of the Association’s activities.

2.3. To implement the tasks and achieve the set goal, the Association is established in accordance with the current legislation:
– provides practical, organizational and methodological assistance to local branches of the Association;
– submits proposals to the state authorities and local self-government bodies on the activities of the Association;
– participates in the organization and holding of sports competitions, meetings and other events in Ukraine;
– provides assistance in organizing and conducting training and professional development activities for its members;
– organizes the production of official, commemorative and award attributes with the symbols of the Association;
– disseminates information about the activities of the Association, including the preparation and dissemination of information in printed publications and on the Internet;
– advises organizations and citizens on issues related to the activities of the Association;
– represents the interests of the Association members in state authorities and local self-government bodies;
– contributes to the formation of public opinion through speeches in the media.

2.4. The Association is not responsible for the illegal actions of its members.

3. MEMBERS OF THE ASSOCIATION, THEIR RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS

3.1. Membership in the Association is individual and can be collective.

3.2. Individual members of the Association can be citizens of Ukraine, foreign citizens, stateless persons who have reached the age of 18, possess or intend to possess weapons, in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of Ukraine, support the purpose and objectives of the Association, regularly take an active part in the activities of the Association, provide active assistance to its development and functioning. The application for admission is sent to the Supervisory Board.

3.3. Collective members can be collectives of enterprises, organizations and institutions that contribute to the solution of statutory tasks and achievement of the Association’s goals. Collective members exercise their rights and obligations through their representatives.

3.5. Admission to the membership of the Association is carried out by the Supervisory Board of the Association under the condition:
– application of an individual member or application and decision of the authorized body of the enterprise collective,
institutions, organizations of the collective member;
– recognition of the provisions of the Statute of the Association;
– payment of the initial entrance fee;
– recognition of the purpose and objectives of the Association;
– promotion of the Association’s activities.

3.6. Members of the Association have the right:
– participate in the events organized by the Association;
– to make proposals to the governing bodies of the Association on issues related to its activities;
– elect and be elected to the governing bodies of the Association;
– get information about the activities of the Association;
– to get acquainted with the decisions of the governing bodies of the Association and participate in their discussion;
– withdraw from the Association at any time at their own request, on the basis of a written application submitted to the Supervisory Board.

3.7. Members of the Association are obliged:
– comply with the requirements of the Association’s Charter;
– regularly pay membership fees in accordance with the decisions of the governing bodies of the Association;
– to actively participate in the statutory activities of the Association and contribute to the implementation of its tasks and objectives;
– to implement the decisions of the governing and supervisory bodies of the Association;
– prevent actions that cause material damage to the Association or damage its business reputation.
Members of the Association are not allowed:
– confrontation with state and local authorities, enterprises, organizations,
institutions and other persons on behalf of the Association;
– use of the symbols and name of the Association without the permission of the Supervisory Board of the Association, as well as for commercial purposes;
– committing an act that may cause harm to the Association or its members;
– speak in the mass media, the Internet, give any comments or express their opinion under the guise of the opinion or official position of the Association without the written consent of the Supervisory Board of the Association.

4. STRUCTURE AND GOVERNING BODIES OF THE ASSOCIATION

4.1. The statutory bodies of the Association are:
– General meeting;
– Supervisory Board;
– Board;
– Board of Trustees.
